The Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana (NSMNY) is a flagship welfare scheme launched by the Government of Maharashtra to provide financial assistance to eligible farmers. It complements the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme by offering an additional ₹6,000 annually in three equal installments.

Launched under Government Resolution No. Kisani-2023/CR 42/11 A dated 15/06/2023, the Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana provides ₹2,000 per installment to eligible farmers, which is disbursed three times a year. This is in addition to the ₹6,000 per year provided under the PM-KISAN Yojana, thus ensuring that each eligible farmer receives ₹12,000 per year in total.

- Only PM-KISAN eligible farmers are eligible for this scheme.
- The first installment under NSMNY was credited along with the 14th installment of PM-KISAN.
- Funds are directly transferred to Aadhaar-linked bank accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Benefits of the Scheme
- Eligible farmers receive ₹2,000 per installment under NSMNY.
- Together with PM-KISAN, the total annual benefit is ₹12,000.
- Payments are made through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) for transparency.
- NSMNY follows the PM-KISAN eligibility list, ensuring no duplication.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria of NSMNY is the same as the PM-KISAN scheme:
- Farmer family includes husband, wife, and minor children.
- Must be cultivable landholder farmers having land as of 01.02.2019.
Who is Not Eligible?
Certain categories are excluded from the scheme:
- Institutional landholders
- Families with any member who is:
- Former/present Constitutional post holder
- MPs, MLAs, MLCs, Mayors, or District Panchayat Chairpersons
- Government officers/employees (except Class IV/Group D/MTS)
- Pensioners with a pension of ₹10,000/month or more (excluding Group D)
- Income Tax payers in the last assessment year
- Practicing professionals (Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, CAs, Architects)
- Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)

- 7/12 extract (land record)
- 8-A extract
- Ferfar document (land mutation)
- Ration Card
- Bank account details (Aadhaar linked)
How to Apply Online for NSMNY
The process of applying is integrated with PM-KISAN registration. Follow these steps:
- Self-Registration on PM-KISAN Portal
Visit https://nsmny.mahait.org/ and register using Aadhaar and land details. - Verification of Eligibility
Submitted data is verified by Taluka-level officers. - Approval by Authorities
- Taluka Nodal Officer (TNO)
- District Nodal Officer (DNO)
(Note: Direct TNO registrations do not need district/state approval.)
- Final Approval by State Nodal Officer
Once approved, farmers will automatically receive benefits under both PM-KISAN and NSMNY.
