The presence of stray cattle in Uttar Pradesh poses a significant challenge for farmers, as it results in daily crop damage. To safeguard their fields, many farmers resorted to the installation of barbed wire. However, this practice was subsequently prohibited by the government due to concerns about potential harm to the animals. Acknowledging the need to ensure the safety of both farmers’ crops and the welfare of the animals, the Yogi Adityanath government has recently made a crucial decision by launching the Mukhya Mantri Khet Suraksha Yojana in Uttar Pradesh as CM Khet Suraksha Yojana.
The state government has devised the ‘Mukhyamantri Khet Suraksha Yojana’ to offer assistance and support to farmers. Recognizing the efficacy and significance of this scheme, the Yogi Adityanath government has taken the strategic decision to extend its implementation beyond Bundelkhand, encompassing the entire state in a simultaneous manner. Consequently, the allocated budget for the scheme has been substantially augmented, rising from ₹75 crore to ₹350 crore. This expansion aims to provide comprehensive relief to farmers across the state and fortify their agricultural pursuits.
Benefits of UP Mukhya Mantri Khet Suraksha Yojana
The “Mukhyamantri Khet Suraksha Yojana” is a solar fencing initiative designed to safeguard farmers’ crops from animals. The system operates with a low 12-volt current flowing through the installed solar fencing fence. This controlled current serves solely to deter and shock the animals, ensuring their safety without causing any harm.
A notable feature of the scheme is the incorporation of a siren along with the light current. This combined approach serves as an effective deterrent, preventing free-roaming or wild animals such as nilgai, monkeys, and pigs from causing damage to crops in the fields.

Once filling up the form, click on the submit button
On next screen you will need to upload the required document
Once submitting the documents, You will get a reference id of your application on your mobile number
Using this you can check the approval status of your application
If you are uncomfortable with the online process then you can also apply this scheme by visiting the nearest Agriculture Department Office and submit your request there.
